girl's weekend

Look at me, posting two days in a row, wut wut! What can I say, I'm on summer break now, gotta lot more time on my hands :) The first couple of days of summer was girls weekend! It's pretty rare that my mom and I get a whole weekend sans body odor emitted from certain residents of this household... but all of the boys went up to Whidbey Island for Father's Day man's weekend (aka Father's Day Flatuence Fest 2013) Charlie told everyone he saw that he was going on vacation with his brother and his dad to toot on the floor. Apparently that's what man's weekend is all about. Tooting on the floor. Hmm.

Girl's weekend did, however, not include tooting on the floor. It included shopping, a Starbucks run, a Seattle trip, lunch at Chipotle, sink and bathtub shopping, a family graduation party, a fancy dinner at Boathouse 19, another Starbucks run and more sink and bathtub shopping. Pretty perfect if you ask me!

happy father's day, dad

Happy Father's Day to the best dad that I could ever ask for. I am so, so blessed & I don't know how I got so lucky to be born into a family with a dad as cool as you. Keep being you, Dad. Rock on.

A, M + K // Seniors

Here I am, finally posting the senior rep shoot I helped the lovely Nicole Schauer style! A couple of months ago, when Nicole asked me to do this, I was so excited. It sounded perfect for me. Scrolling through Pinterest for inspiration, snapping a few pictures, maybe some coffee on the side... pretty much Grace Drechsel in a sentence. We met for coffee to discuss our ideas and decided on a soft romantic theme with muted colors and floral crowns... pretty much perfection if you ask me! The planning was so fun for me, as well as the actual day. The three seniors, Alyssa, Mady and Kaitlynn were so sweet and, as you can see, so beautiful. She even said I could bring my trusty Nikon along and shoot with her! I got a few shots I'm really proud of. Thank you so much Nicole for including me in this... I had so much fun. Let's work together again soon!

Nicole's shots, not mine... but look at this cute little magazine she created with the photos! I'm in love with it!

Skincare Routine (Updated)

Recently I have been trying out & playing around with new skincare products! It's always been really important for me to take care of my skin, but after having a few breakouts recently I decided to try a few new things because why not?! Here's both my morning and night routines :)

morning //

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser -
I start out by washing my face with the Neutrogena cleanser. I'm pretty picky about face washes and I really like this one. It really is gentle so I can wash my face twice a day without drying my skin out. I recommend!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer -
I always put on this moisturizer under my makeup! It has SPF 15 which isn't a ton of SPF, but for everyday, it's perfect. It has a sunscreen smell, so if that's going to drive you crazy I wouldn't recommend this but if it doesn't bother you, try it out. :)

night //

Maybelline Clean Express Classic Eye Makeup Remover -
I massage this into my eyeballs (cute) to remove all of my eye makeup. I don't use waterproof eye makeup so I bought the classic one, but they have a waterproof version too. There's 2 kinds of the Clean Express, there's a gel formula and a more classic liquid formula. This one is the gel and I really like it! It's not oily at all! It has the same consistency as a face wash. After removing my eye makeup I use the Neutrogena face wash again to remove my face makeup!

Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Toner -
This is brand new so I can't really tell you if it's good or not. It has 2% Salicylic Acid, which is kind of a lot, so I'm a little bit nervous that this is going to dry out my skin! My friend Krissy has been using it for a couple of weeks and she said that it stings a little when you apply it at first, but after a few times it doesn't, and her skin isn't dry at all and it's cleared up a lot. So hopefully I get the same results!!

Lush Skindrink Moisturizer -
This is a pretty heavy-duty moisturizer, but I love it. My skin is on the drier side and this is perfect for me for overnight! It's a little more pricey than something you would get at Target (it's around $30 I think) but I think it's a great investment if you have dry skin!

Lush Sweet Lips -
I get really dry and gross lips so I bought this Lush lip scrub to try. It was $10 which I think is a little overpriced for what it is (sugar, jojoba oil, vanilla extract, and cocoa). But it smells soooo good and it works so well! Then I usually just use a Chapstick and call it a day.

Let me know what your favorite skincare products are in the comments!
Loveee you :)
