My dad crashed on his bike yesterday so him & my mom went to the doctor this morning. Turns out he has a fractured hip (he's okay, just sore and needs crutches) so they were gone a lot longer than expected! So Charlie and I hung out most of the day.

Some things we did:
- watched Ice Age
- went on a walk in the wagon
- ate toast and scrambled eggs for lunch
- watched Ice Age again
- watched Curious George
- ate a snack
- did the dishes
- took some pictures
- took a nap

Whew. And it's only 2:30.

obsessing over: My blog design! I'm the type of person that it just bugs me when it's not absolutely perfect. I thought that I loved it but then I looked at it again and was like, "mehh." So I'll probably re-design it again sometime this week. : )

working on: Babysitting. I've been babysitting a lot lately! There's some of our neighbors that I babysit a lot that I'm really close to and they're really just the most behaved kids ever (um and adorable). What I'm really working on is being a fun babysitter. When you babysit for a few hours at a time it can get a little boring for you and the kids... so I'm working on that.

thinking about: New York New York New York! That's what I've been thinking about the most. I'm less than two short weeks away from the big apple and I'm beyond stoked. My grandma (who I'm going with) and I were just talking about it last night at dinner. We were talking about the flight (call me crazy but I really love flying... just the airport and the general experience) and all the sights we're going to see and the shopping and all of the pictures I'm going to take and eeeeek I'm just so freaking excited!

anticipating: The week. : ) This week is going to be a lot better than last... I was all sick and congested last week and had a little cough. Well, I'm all better (I love you Airborne) and am ready to kick this week's butt!

eating: Healthy! well this is awkward because I just ate a burger and fries for dinner... but I really have been making better choices and drinking more water and I really, honestly do feel better.

wishing: Washington had nicer weather. Seriously, I am so sick of the 40s and rain and snow and ugh. I'm so pale it's not funny. I NEEEEED SOME SUN YOU GUYS. My mom and I were just talking today about how we say that we'd never move to Texas or Arizona or Vegas or somewhere that gets in the triple digits in the summer. But, in those places it's probably only in the 100's for 2-3 months a year (right?) and so we'd just stay inside those days. But we stay inside in Washington for probably 10 months a year anyway (haaaaha I bet you think I'm kidding...) So, less time inside and a year round tan? Sounds good to me ; ) Haha, just kidding. Moving's nowhere in our future and I do love you, Washington, despite your rediculous precipitation!

telly shows.

k, i'll say it... i'm a tv girl. but i don't really just sit down and turn on the tv and look for something... i'll only really watch it if there's a show on the dvr or something specific i want to watch.

here's a few of my top tv shows! (in no particular order).

once upon a time.

ok, monday nights (it airs on sunday but we record it and watch it monday night) the whole family (including charlie... "once 'pon a timee?") sits down and watches this show. it's sooo good. it's about these people in the present and they find this book that is telling the story of their lives in the past, like fairy tale times. omg. watch it.

glee.

there's not really much to say about this one. pretty much everyone loves glee. can we just talk about that cliff hanger of a finale for a second? uggghdjklfs;sghlsafghsla. and then they told me i have to wait until april 10.

lost.

oh my goshhh. my parents always were obsessed with this show and i kinda thought they were crazy & didn't know what they were talking about. but now... this is probs my favorite show ever. and i'm only on season 2 out of 6! we only own season 1 and so my mom is trying to get seasons 2 & 3 for me. and, the last episode for season 1 was a total cliffhanger so i'm dying over here. but anyways, i love lost.

modern family.

haha i watch it every week when it's new! on wednesday nights they play the middle and suburgatory before it but it is definitely the best! hilarious.

parenthood.

ok i know i say this about every tv show but i luuuurve this one. my mom & i watch it together. i thiiink it's on a break right now and i can't wait till it comes back. (my mom cries every episode... : )

those were a few of my faves! i'm not sure the days/times they all play on but i'm sure you could google it. : ) trust me, these ones are not a waste of time. i think everyone should watch them!!

as you can see, i'm not a big "reality tv" person. i mean, i'll watch what not to wear and i used to religously watch american idol but meh. it's ok this year. i'm not really following along. probably the only exception is the glee project. it's so good! and i loved watching the people who won last year on glee!!

dear dad,

happy birthday! your getting real close to forty, buddy. but that's ok because you don't look old at all, and i'm not just saying that. remember that time in fred meyer when the guy said he thought you were my brother? told ya so.

you are so fun to be around daddy! i love when just you and me go to the grocery store and embarass ourselves. i love when just you and me sit at the table after dinner and just talk and laugh. and, i love when i set really ugly pictures of myself as the wallpaper on your phone and you don't change it. haha! the one on your phone right now is super creepy. maybe you should actually change that one.

thank you for driving me to school on fridays, and for always making chocolate chip pancakes on saturday, and for going on runs with me, and for driving me around to friend's houses, and for buying redvines everytime we're remotely close to a walgreens, and for reading my blog. thank you for making microwave popcorn all the time, and for a million other things i can't think of right now. thank you thank you!

KONY 2012 : spread da word.

i'm sure you guys have seen the Kony 2012 video all over facebook, youtube, twitter, etc. if you haven't watched it, i very strongly encourage you to watch it, all of it. it's pretty long but well wort the half hour. it amazes me how much of a difference one youtube video can make. before march 5th, hardly anyone knew who Kony was, and now pretty much everyone does!

just watch it. : )

that was weird

i woke up this morning and opened my windows and there was snow. yes, snow!
haha, it doesn't look like that much in this picture and it probably was only about an inch (plus it was all gone by third period) ... it was just weird having it be so unexpected!

also, why do i think that it's wednesday? i've thought that it was wednesday the whole day. depressing.

mowing the sidewalk

first of all, notice anything different? i re-designed on friday! you likey? i'm in love with the background but not completely sold on the header... i think i'll be tweaking it a little this week.

anyway, to the point. today after charlie's nap, he politely informed me that he would like to go mow the lawn. basically, he just pushes his little plastic lawnmower across the pavement and it's really loud. it's pretty much his favorite. so, we walked outside and i snapped a few pictures while i was at it.

by the way, do you guys know of any awesome (and free) lightroom presets? i've been getting kind of bored of my same old ones. i really like presetsheaven.com but am looking for more options. thanks guys!
